The Cannon family has been in the dry cleaning industry for generations. Owner, Eldridge Cannon, grew up working with his father at their family owned dry cleaner until he was 18. Later in life, he returned to his roots by purchasing Coastal Cleaners in 1993. Starting off with only one location, he, his wife Bobbie Cannon, and three children worked to improve the business and service standards to that of a first class, professional dry cleaner.

 With hard work and determination, Coastal Cleaners grew in both size and notoriety immediately. With continuing growth each year, expansion was inevitable. In January 2000, Coastal Cleaners' production moved to a 6000 sqft building in Brunswick where the business flourished. Retaining the location on St. Simons Island and then adding locations on FLETC and highway 341, Coastal Cleaners was able to offer their service throughout Glynn County. 

 The same service, hard work, and professionalism was realized in Thomas County with the completion of Cannon's Classic Cleaners in 2004. Owner, Eldridge Cannon, appointed his oldest son, Jonathan Cannon, to manage operations at there new facility. Jonathan is a third generation dry cleaner and has been working in the industry since he was only 13 years old. Every year since opening in 2004, Cannon's Classic Cleaners has grown and provided only the best service to the residents of Thomas County as well as there garments.

 The dry cleaning industry is an ever evolving industry and Cannon's Classic Cleaners has more than kept up with the times. As new technology and innovation has come each year, the Cannons have and continue to bring the advantages to both their business and their customers.
